The Königsbacher Dorffest is not a major event, but a classic village festival: an afternoon and evening, the market square as the stage, the clubs as caterers, the residents as the audience. It is precisely this modesty that makes the date in Königsbach popular — those who come know almost everyone.

Königsbach Market Square

The venue is the Königsbach market square, with the address Marktstraße 15. Königsbach is one of the two districts of Königsbach-Stein — the municipality was formed in 1971 by the merger of the two villages in the Enzkreis district. With around 5,500 inhabitants, Königsbach is the larger of the two districts.

Clubs provide catering

As is customary in the region, the local clubs provide catering themselves: the fire department, sports clubs, music association, cultural associations. This keeps prices affordable and the proceeds within the community. Local bands perform on stage — from the town band to smaller combos from the Enzkreis.

Königsbach-Stein in the Enzkreis

Königsbach-Stein, with around 9,600 inhabitants, is located in the northern Enzkreis (Baden-Württemberg), between Pforzheim and Bretten. The municipality is known for its wine-growing tradition — Königsbach-Stein belongs to the Baden wine region Kraichgau-Stromberg. Local wines are, therefore, gladly served at the village festival.
