Three days of village festival in Reichenbach im Täle (part of Deggingen) in the Filstal valley on the edge of the Swabian Jura
The Reichenbacher Festtage are the annual summer highlight of the small district of Reichenbach im Täle. The organizers are the "Reichenbacher Vereine" (Reichenbach Clubs) — an association of all local organizations such as the music club, sports club, fire department, garden enthusiasts, and heritage society. The festival runs over three days on a June weekend on the Reichenbach im Täle festival grounds and is part of the traditional club festival landscape of the Göppingen district.
The festival runs from Friday to Sunday in the classic form of Swabian village festivals. Friday starts in the evening with the opening — tapping of the first keg, catering begins, first live music set (typically a dance band from the Filstal association). Saturday features a morning pint with brass music at midday, the family program in the afternoon (games, club competitions), and a big dance evening with a pop or Schlager band in the evening. Sunday begins with the morning pint and a parade (occasionally), and the family program runs in the afternoon until a relaxed conclusion in the evening.
Reichenbach im Täle is one of the two districts of the municipality of Deggingen (along with Deggingen itself). The municipality is located in the Filstal valley on the edge of the Swabian Jura, nestled between the main course of the Fils river and the foothills of the Jura. Deggingen has a total population of just under 1,700 — a typical Swabian village pair with active club life, small industries, and a tourist location on the edge of the Jura (hiking, caves, geological formations). Reichenbach itself has just under 600 inhabitants and is one of the smallest villages where a three-day village festival program is still celebrated.
Expect a classic Swabian village festival — not a tourist trap, but an event for the village community that warmly welcomes visitors from outside. Catering by Reichenbach residents in club attire or T-shirts, long beer benches under white gazebos, brass music from the rural association, and later dance music. Regulars from Deggingen, Wiesensteig, Gosbach, Bad Ditzenbach. Free admission, payment directly at the stand.
The Reichenbacher clubs are organizing the 2026 festival in the proven three-day format. The exact program structure — which music bands will perform, which band will host the dance evening — is traditionally published a few weeks before the festival date via the municipality of Deggingen and the club channels.
Following the typical Swabian village festival rhythm, Friday evening features the opening with keg tapping, Saturday is family day with morning pint and dance evening, and Sunday concludes with the final morning pint and a relaxed wind-down. Catering rotates among the clubs — a form of stand rotation practiced in many Swabian village festivals.
Detailed program (bands, club competitions) will be published shortly before the festival date via the Municipality of Deggingen.
Free admission. Catering by the Reichenbacher clubs at usual village festival prices.
By car via the B 466 (Bad Ditzenbach–Geislingen), exit Deggingen. By train it's difficult — the nearest station is Geislingen an der Steige, from there take bus 81 to Reichenbach.
Friday, June 12th to Sunday, June 14th, 2026 — all-day catering on the Reichenbach im Täle festival grounds.
Free admission. Catering by the Reichenbacher clubs at usual village festival prices.
