One night, ten venues, one wristband: Germany's largest pub festival in the Rhön
Honky Tonk is Germany's largest pub festival brand: With a single entry wristband, guests move freely between several venues in the city center – restaurants, bars, hotels, cafés, youth centers – experiencing a different band at each location. The format was invented in the late 1980s in Southern Germany and is now established in over 30 German cities.
For one night, the city center of the Lower Franconian district town of Bad Neustadt an der Saale (Rhön-Grabfeld district, Bavaria) becomes a music mile. Ten venues in the old town open their doors for live music – including Olor, Altes Amtshaus, El Moro, La Cucina di Francesco, Bildhäuser Hof, Hotel Café Rhönperle, Fränkischer Hof, Juze, Hörbar and Pinocchio. Each location has a different musical identity: from dance halls to Italian restaurants, hotel bars to youth centers.
A colorful mix of regional bands and established Honky Tonk acts from all over Germany is featured. Confirmed artists for 2026 include Monkeyman Band, List-Mad Bob-Trio, Dance the funky chicken, Jamstreet (Leipzig), Colour the Sky (Görlitz), Don't Ask (Würzburg, Late-Night Show from 10 PM) and Jayfrog (DJ set, known from the band Scooter, from 11 PM at Pinocchio).
The stylistic range extends from rock to cover pop, funk, soul, dance, and DJ sets in the late hours.
Live music runs from 8 PM to 2 AM in all ten venues. Some locations continue the night with club sounds until the early morning hours. The wristband costs €14 in the Early Bird advance sale (limited quantity, sale from January 9 to 17, 2026) and €20 at the box office.
Bad Neustadt an der Saale, with around 16,000 inhabitants, is the district town of the Rhön-Grabfeld district, located at the transition between Lower Franconia and the Rhön low mountain range region. The Honky Tonk has been perceived as a cultural highlight in spring for years and attracts audiences from the entire region between Schweinfurt, Würzburg, Meiningen, and Fulda.
With the Honky Tonk wristband, guests can move freely between ten venues in Bad Neustadt's old town on March 14, 2026. Each location offers a different musical identity – from cover rock in a restaurant to funk-soul in a hotel bar to a DJ set at Pinocchio.
The 2026 Honky Tonk lineup features a mix of regional bands (Monkeyman Band, Dance the funky chicken, List-Mad Bob-Trio) and headliners from the national Honky Tonk network: Jamstreet from Leipzig, Colour the Sky from Görlitz, Don't Ask from Würzburg (Late-Night Show from 10 PM). The DJ highlight is Jayfrog (formerly Scooter) from 11 PM at Pinocchio.
Bad Neustadt an der Saale is located on the A71 (Bad Neustadt exit) and on the Schweinfurt–Meiningen railway line (Bad Neustadt station is within walking distance of the city center). All ten venues are located in the old town within walking distance of each other.
Early Bird wristband: €14 (limited, January 9–17, 2026), regular advance sale afterwards, box office: €20. Wristband valid for all ten venues.
Live music 8:00 PM–2:00 AM in all ten venues, followed by club sounds in selected locations. Free entry and re-entry with the wristband.
