A Reggae Weekend in the Wittelsbacher Land
Reggae in Wulf has been one of the most traditional reggae festivals in Bavaria since the early 2000s. The venue is the sports field in the Friedberg district of Wulfertshausen in the Aichach-Friedberg district, right in the heart of the Wittelsbacher Land, east of Augsburg. What started as a small idea has grown over the years into a lovingly maintained festival, supported by a volunteer team around the Wulf United association.
Musical Profile
The program is consistent: "Reggae, Ska, Dancehall, Dub, Roots, Rocksteady… nothing else!". Both established acts from the German and international reggae scene and newcomers perform on stage. Regional greats include dub à la pub from Augsburg, who won the European Reggae Contest in 2011 and have played at festivals such as Summer Jam, Chiemsee Reggae Summer, and Rototom Sunsplash.
Atmosphere
With around 2,500 expected visitors, the festival remains pleasantly family-friendly. Caribbean flair, relaxed vibes, and a manageable site ensure that regular guests experience Reggae in Wulf more as a large gathering of like-minded people than an anonymous mass festival. Camping directly on the grounds is part of the concept of a true reggae weekend.
Restart 2026
After a period of uncertainty, the festival is relaunching in 2026 with a new organizing team and relies on the support of the scene. The continuation of this Swabian reggae institution thus remains in the hands of a dedicated community.
