For three weekends in March, the festival tent at Gymnasium Raubling transforms into a convivial meeting place with brass music, hearty delicacies from the Kirner family, and the smooth Starkbier from the Flötzinger brewery. The festival traditionally opens with the beer tapping ceremony by the mayor. With Kesselfleisch-Montag (pork belly Monday), Josefitag (St. Joseph's Day), and a convivial atmosphere, the Starkbierfest is a fixed date in the spring calendar of the Chiemsee-Alpenland region.

The festival opens on Friday, March 6, at 6 PM with the traditional beer tapping ceremony by Raubling Mayor Olaf Kalsperger, accompanied by the brass band Dreder Musi, hearty specialties from the Kirner family, as well as the Josefi-Bock and Festmärzen from the Flötzinger Brewery. Special program highlights include Kesselfleisch-Montag on March 16 and Josefitag on Thursday, March 19. Organizers are Kirner Zelte and Flötzinger Brewery.

Getting There

Raubling is located south of Rosenheim and is accessible via the A8 motorway (Munich–Salzburg, Reischenhart exit) and by train (Raubling station).
