Family and sports festival on the Dahme harbor with boat trips and stage program
Anyone looking for a relaxed summer day by the water in the southern Berlin surrounding area will find the Hafenfest of the Wassersportclub Wildau to be the right place. Since its premiere on June 22, 2002, the festival has become a fixture in the event calendar of the town of Wildau and the Dahme-Spreewald district. The WCW opens its gates once a year — traditionally on a Saturday in June — on the Uferpromenade at Dahme 4, turning the club's location into a public meeting point.
The 2026 edition will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 9 am to 6 pm. The day begins with breakfast for club members and guests, followed by the public program. On the water, model boat sportsmen will showcase their intricate custom-built models, and short boat trips on the Dahme will offer a unique perspective of the club facilities. On the lawn, the club's volleyball team will compete against a selection from the town of Wildau — a friendly classic.
For children, there will be a bouncy castle, face painting, a treasure hunt, and small participatory activities. In previous years, the police boat also visited and was open for tours. Food will be provided with smoked fish fresh from the oven, grilled bratwurst, cake from the club kitchen, and drinks at fair prices.
The club's location is in an idyllic landscape directly on the Dahme, just a few kilometers south of the Berlin city limits. The S-Bahn line S46 (terminus Wildau) brings you from the capital, and from there it's about a 15-minute walk. By bike, the route along the Spree and Dahme cycle paths is recommended. Admission to the Hafenfest is free.
The Hafenfest is representative of a Brandenburg festival culture that gets by without grand staging: water sports, community, regional food, and a stage program organized by the club itself. Those looking for an authentic picture of the region beyond the tourist postcard motifs will find it here — at the Hafenfest on the Dahme riverbank in Wildau (Dahme-Spreewald district, state of Brandenburg).
The club is looking for volunteers for setup and dismantling. Registration via the club office.
The 2026 program builds on the proven structure of the Hafenfest. Specific detailed planning was finalized in the 15th board meeting on June 16, 2026.
S-Bahn S46 to the final stop Wildau, then approx. 15 min. walk to the Uferpromenade. By car: A10 (Berliner Ring), exit Königs Wusterhausen or Niederlehme. Limited parking, arrival by public transport or bicycle recommended.
Free admission. Food and drinks available on site at fair prices.
