Artisan market in Rudersberg Town Hall with selected exhibitors
The Rathaus-Kunstmarkt Rudersberg differs from ordinary markets with its unusual event concept: Instead of a hall, the entire Town Hall is used as an exhibition space. The foyer, staircase, hallways, meeting rooms, and council chamber become a gallery with curated exhibitors. The municipality of Rudersberg invites the public to experience the administrative building from a completely new perspective.
Anita Molnar manages the exhibitors' applications. Unlike classic Christmas markets or creative markets, a careful selection takes place—artists with handmade products in small editions or unique pieces are represented. The range includes sewn items and textiles, knitwear and felt crafts, jewelry (silver, bronze, natural materials), paper and wood art, decorative wooden signs, paintings, and small sculptures. The format remains manageable—which facilitates personal interaction between artists and the public.
The market opens on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 5 PM to 10 PM as an opening evening with a relaxed atmosphere for visitors after work. On Saturday, October 17, from 11 AM to 6 PM, the market is open in the classic family and weekend format. Food and drinks complement the artistic program.
Rudersberg is located in the eastern Rems-Murr district (Baden-Württemberg) on the edge of the Welzheimer Wald, about 40 km east of Stuttgart. With around 11,500 inhabitants, the municipality is a lively central point for the surrounding region. The Rathaus-Kunstmarkt in October is one of the most charming events in the calendar—a curated encounter between the regional craft scene and interested visitors, with the charm of a small community.
On the weekend of October 16/17, 2026, Rudersberg Town Hall will open its doors for the annual artisan market. The entire building—from the foyer and hallways to the meeting rooms—will become a gallery. Anita Molnar coordinates exhibitor applications; the range is carefully curated and includes sewn items, knitwear, felt crafts, jewelry, paper and wood crafts, paintings, small sculptures, and decorative wooden signs.
Friday evening serves as a relaxed opening after work, while Saturday offers families and shoppers time to browse and chat with the artists. Food and drinks complement the program in the town hall.
