Advent Market in the Bergisches Land

The Radevormwalder Christmas Market is one of the traditional Advent festivals in the Oberbergischer Kreis. On the 3rd Advent weekend — from December 11th to 13th, 2026 — the city center of the small town in the Bergisches Land transforms into an Advent market with stalls, a food mile, a children's program, and a warm city atmosphere that is particularly characteristic of the hilly Bergisches Land in winter.

Over 30 Clubs and Exhibitors

A particular strength of the Radevormwalder Christmas Market: It is not supported by a single commercial organizer, but by over 30 clubs and exhibitors from the city. This makes the atmosphere more familial and volunteer-driven — the helpers know the visitors, and locals chat with acquaintances. The proceeds from the volunteer stalls often finance club projects.

Program — Three Days, Three Characters

Friday, December 11th, 2026 — Kick-off

• From 2:00 PM — Market opening
• After-work atmosphere — mulled wine, snacks
• First performances on stage

Saturday, December 12th, 2026 — Main Day

• 10:00 AM–10:00 PM — Full operation
• During the day: Market stroll, food mile
• In the evening: Stage program with choirs and bands

Sunday, December 13th, 2026 — Family Day

• 11:00 AM–9:00 PM — Family program
• Children's program with two carousels and the Neye Express (children's train through the city center)
• Early morning atmosphere

Radevormwald — Town in the Bergisches Land

Radevormwald is located in the far west of the Oberbergischer Kreis, about 50 kilometers east of Düsseldorf and 30 kilometers northeast of Cologne. With around 22,000 inhabitants, the town is a typical small town in the Bergisches Land — hilly, with stonemason houses and characteristic hillside development. The Christmas market is one of the two major city festivals of the year, alongside the Schützenfest.
