Antiques and Crafts Market in the Heart of Potsdam
Potsdam is the state capital of Brandenburg, located directly southwest of Berlin. With its unique concentration of palaces and parks (Sanssouci Palace, Cecilienhof, Babelsberg, Neuer Garten — UNESCO World Heritage), historic city districts (Dutch Quarter, Russian Colony Alexandrovka), and the Babelsberg film studio, Potsdam is one of Germany's most visited destinations. The Antikmeile uses this atmosphere as a perfect backdrop — collectors and antique enthusiasts combine the market with a day in the UNESCO World Heritage site.
The Potsdamer Antikmeile takes place twice a year: once in spring (usually late May/early June) and once in autumn (late September). The event takes over Jägerstraße and Gutenbergstraße — two of the most charming shopping streets in the city center, directly adjacent to the Dutch Quarter and near the Brandenburg Gate (the Potsdam one, not the Berlin one). Around 60 to 80 stalls present their treasures.
The offerings are wide-ranging: antique furniture (Biedermeier, Art Nouveau, Art Deco), historical porcelain (Meissen, KPM, Rosenthal), silverware, jewelry, old books and prints, paintings, maps, collectibles such as coins and stamps — and in the crafts section: contemporary ceramics, jewelry, glasswork, textiles, woodturning. The dealers come from all over Germany — from Bavaria to Hesse to Schleswig-Holstein. Local shops and restaurants along Jägerstraße and Gutenbergstraße participate with special offers.
The autumn edition 2026 takes place on Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 11 am to 6 pm each day. Collectors often travel from the entire Berlin area and from Saxony-Anhalt. Travel by S7 (Berlin–Potsdam) or RE1 in 30 minutes from Berlin Hbf. Free admission. A perfect day combines a stroll through the Antikmeile, a café visit in the Dutch Quarter, and a walk through Sanssouci Park.
On Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 11 am to 6 pm each day, Jägerstraße and Gutenbergstraße in Potsdam's city center will transform into an extensive antiques mile. Around 60 antique dealers and craftspeople from all over Germany will present their treasures.
The offerings range from antique furniture and historical porcelain to jewelry, books, and prints, as well as contemporary crafts in ceramics, glass, and textiles. Local shops and restaurants along the market mile will participate with special promotions. Free admission.
