About Pinneberger Weinfest

For over three decades, the Pinneberger Weinfest has been a staple of the city's summer calendar. On the central Drosteiplatz, vintners and restaurateurs present national and international wines for four days — from Riesling from the Rhine and Mosel to drops from France, Italy, and Spain. This is complemented by live music, regional culinary delights, and convivial gatherings under the open sky. One of the most popular city festival highlights in the Pinneberg district, organized by Stadtmarketing Pinneberg.

A Summer Festival with a Long Tradition

Since the early 1990s, Stadtmarketing Pinneberg has invited visitors to the Weinfest on Drosteiplatz at the beginning of July each year. What began small has developed into one of the most important summer events in the Pinneberg district — the 33rd edition in 2026 marks remarkable consistency for a city festival in Schleswig-Holstein.

Drosteiplatz as the Festival Setting

Drosteiplatz, located right in the center of Pinneberg, transforms into an open-air wine tavern for four days. High tables, benches, and small lounges create a convivial atmosphere where you can move from stand to stand and sample the offerings — without a fixed program, without an entrance fee, simply flowing with a summer evening.

The Offerings

  • German Wine Regions — Riesling from the Rhine and Mosel, Spätburgunder, Silvaner, Weißburgunder, German sparkling wines
  • International Wines — France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, complementary overseas vintages
  • Culinary Delights — Flammkuchen, cheese platters, Mediterranean tapas, regional specialties
  • Live Music on stage — mostly cover bands and jazz bands in the evenings

An Audience from the Entire District

The Weinfest attracts visitors from the entire Pinneberg district as well as from Hamburg and the surrounding area. Unlike larger festivals, it has a relaxed, almost familiar character — many regular guests return every year, often groups of friends and neighbors who plan an evening together.

In the Pinneberg District, Schleswig-Holstein

Pinneberg is the district town of the district of the same name on the Pinnau river, just 20 km northwest of Hamburg. The Weinfest is part of a vibrant city festival calendar, including the Pinneberger Weihnachtsdorf, SummerJazz, Open-Air Cinema, and the CSD — almost everything takes place on or around Drosteiplatz, the unofficial heart of the city.

Pinneberger Weinfest — edition 2026

The 33rd edition of the Pinneberger Weinfest opens its doors from July 2nd to 5th, 2026, on Drosteiplatz. For four days, wine merchants and vintners will present a wide selection of German and international wines. The program is accompanied by live music in the evenings, culinary stands, and a relaxed atmosphere where regular guests, friends, and neighbors turn Pinneberg's city center into an open-air living room. Free admission.

The 33rd Edition

With its 33rd edition, the Pinneberger Weinfest confirms its position as one of the most traditional summer city festivals in Schleswig-Holstein. The concept remains tried and tested: stands around Drosteiplatz, without a rigid program structure, live music in the evenings, simply a summer atmosphere for enjoyable strolling.

What Awaits You

As in previous years, wineries from German growing regions and importers of French, Italian, and Spanish wines will be present. The live program — mostly cover, jazz, and acoustic bands — is curated by Stadtmarketing and will be communicated in detail from mid-June 2026.
