10th Anniversary of GartenZeit

GartenZeit Rockenhausen was founded ten years ago as a high-quality garden and plant market and has since developed into one of the most well-known garden events in the North Palatinate region and beyond. The volunteer organizing team ensures a careful selection of exhibitors: instead of discount plants from large nurseries, the focus is on artisanal perennial growers, creative ceramicists, designers, and small specialist garden businesses.

Castle Park as a Backdrop

The Rockenhausen Castle Park is a historic site with old trees, well-maintained paths, and a characteristic castle at its center. The park provides an ideal setting for a plant market: shady areas under old trees, sunny meadows for blooming perennials, and quiet spots for exhibitors. The accessible layout makes the market accessible to visitors with mobility impairments as well.

Exhibitors and Offerings

The offerings at GartenZeit are broad and of high quality: Perennial growers present their specialties, specialist grass companies showcase graceful grasses for gardens and terraces, and shrubs and woody plants for every location are offered. Garden ceramics – from planters to decorative sculptures – complement the plant selection. Designer textiles, garden jewelry, specialized tools, and natural cosmetic products are other focal points.

Accompanying Program

The accompanying program makes the market day interactive: The Plant Doctor offers advice on plant problems and answers questions about diseases, pests, and care. A basket weaving demonstration showcases the traditional craft live. The children's workshop for building birdhouses allows young visitors to get actively involved and take their own birdhouse home. The book bazaar offers used garden and plant books at fair prices.
