Pfingstfest Eppenschlag — edition 2026
As Pentecost Sunday 2026 falls on May 24th, Eppenschlag celebrates its traditional Pfingstfest from Saturday, May 23rd, to Whit Monday, May 25th. The three-day festival is organized by the Festgemeinschaft Eppenschlag, the association of the Volunteer Fire Brigade and the Winter Sports Club.
In the festival tent, brass band music and Bavarian inn culture ensure an exuberant Pentecost atmosphere. The voluntarily organized program brings together young and old and makes the festival a meeting point for the entire village and guests from the region.

Getting There
Eppenschlag is located in the Freyung-Grafenau district in the Bavarian Forest, accessible via the state roads from Schönberg or Grafenau. Drive to Eppenschlag; parking is available at the festival grounds.
Admission
Admission to the Pfingstfest is free. Food and drinks are available for purchase at the festival tent.
Pfingstfest with Tradition
The Pfingstfest Eppenschlag is celebrated every year at Pentecost and is known beyond the district of Freyung-Grafenau. It is supported by the Festgemeinschaft Eppenschlag, an association of the Eppenschlag Volunteer Fire Brigade and the Winter Sports Club (WSV) Eppenschlag, including its support association. For three days – traditionally from Saturday to Whit Monday – the festival grounds transform into a lively meeting place for the entire village and guests from the surrounding area.
