Few bands have shaped stadium rock as much as Queen. Their legacy – the iconic vocals of Freddie Mercury, Brian May's unmistakable guitar, the monumental arrangements and choruses – is kept alive today by tribute bands worldwide. We Rock Queen is among those acts that bring Queen's oeuvre to the stage with dedication and live-oriented energy.

Open-Air on Rathausplatz

With We Rock Queen, the municipal GarbsenLIVE! series presents a highlight for rock and pop fans. Rathausplatz in the center of Garbsen serves as the open-air stage; gastronomic stands around it provide culinary catering. Seating is limited; the concept relies on the open, casual atmosphere of a summer evening.

About the Series

GarbsenLIVE! is the municipal concert and event series that brings live music, comedy, and dance to Rathausplatz during the summer months. All events are free of charge. In addition to We Rock Queen, the 2026 season includes the Summer Festival (June 20/21), the New Hornets concert (July 11), a Comedy Night (August 7), Garbsen goes Beach (August 21/22), and the closing concert Uncle Bard & The Dirty Bastards (September 5).

Repertoire

A set is expected that covers Queen's biggest hits and invites the audience to sing along. The exact setlist for 2026 will be determined by the band; classically, songs like “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Somebody to Love”, “We Will Rock You”, “We Are the Champions”, “Radio Ga Ga”, “Don't Stop Me Now”, and “I Want to Break Free” can be expected.
