St. Nicholas' Weekend with Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides

In 2026, the market falls on St. Nicholas' weekend: Friday, December 6th (St. Nicholas' Day) and Saturday, December 7th. On Saturday, the horse-drawn carriage ride from 1 PM to 3 PM will make children's eyes light up — a traditional attraction found in many local markets along the Moselle. At 3:30 PM, St. Nicholas will visit the market and distribute small gifts to the children.

Local Stalls and Atmosphere

The stalls offer mulled wine, homemade cookies, regional sausages and cheeses, honey, and handicrafts. Schweich clubs provide refreshments and contribute to the atmosphere with stage performances — choirs, brass bands, children's programs.
