Live-Treff Herdorf – Summer Concert Series

The Live-Treff Herdorf is a summer concert series organized by the town of Herdorf, taking place on five consecutive Fridays in July and August in the town hall courtyard. This makes the series one of the most understated yet popular cultural offerings in the Bergstadt (mountain town) in the Altenkirchen district.

Concept: Living room atmosphere under the open sky

The idea behind Live-Treff is simple: no festival wristbands, no entry queues, no expensive drinks – just a courtyard, a few bistro tables, cool drinks, and a small stage. Every Friday evening, a different act performs, and the audience comes and goes as they please. Anyone who fancies a beer after work can stop by for an hour; those who want to stay all evening are just as welcome.

Variety of Programs

The town consciously opts for a diverse musical mix. Over the five evenings, rock cover bands, acoustic duos, singer-songwriters, jazz combos, and occasionally DJs are featured. The focus is on regional artists from the Westerwald, Siegerland, and Hellertal regions, supplemented by friendly acts from neighboring areas.

Low-threshold Urban Revitalization

Over the years, Live-Treff has helped to rediscover the town hall courtyard as a meeting place. What is primarily functional administrative architecture during the day becomes an acoustically interesting small cultural courtyard on summer Fridays – with a touch of a town festival and a touch of a house concert at the same time.

Catering and Accompanying Program

Local clubs, restaurateurs, or the town itself take turns providing catering. There is freshly tapped beer, wine, non-alcoholic drinks, and simple snacks available. In case of bad weather, the respective concert will be moved to the Knappensaal or another indoor venue if possible; specific information will be communicated via the town's website.
