The Parkfest in Glan-Münchweiler is more than just a classic club festival: it's a thoughtfully designed family festival that particularly appeals to younger visitors and their families with its extensive children's program. Organized by the local council and several local clubs in the picturesque Stadtpark, it combines a classic festival atmosphere with age-appropriate hands-on activities, creating an intergenerational experience.

Glan-Münchweiler is the central municipal hub of the Oberes Glantal association municipality and an important transport node in the Kusel district. The Stadtpark is the green heart of the community—a well-maintained park with old trees, playgrounds, and meadows, perfectly suited for a summer festival. On both festival days, the park will be equipped with a stage, catering stands, a children's play area, and seating.

The Children's Festival in the Afternoon

A special focus of the Parkfest is the children's program, which starts daily from 2:00 PM. The flea market for kids is one of the highlights: children can sell their own items, earn pocket money, and learn the basics of simple trade. The children's olympiad offers age-appropriate competitive games like sack races, tug-of-war, egg-and-spoon races, and skill stations—with small prizes for all participants. In the evening, the campfire with stick bread, a classic element of many summer festivals, captivates the younger visitors.

While the children are entertained, adults can enjoy the festival atmosphere. Local clubs offer Palatinate specialties, Palatinate wines, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks.
