About Om am See

Om am See is the international yoga and music festival on Forggensee in Füssen, at the foot of the Allgäu Alps with a view of Neuschwanstein Castle. Three days combine yoga sessions, concerts by international artists, and nature experiences by the lake. The venue is the Festspielhaus Neuschwanstein with its eight indoor and outdoor spaces. The festival combines Vinyasa flows, meditation, breathwork, sound journeys, aerial and SUP yoga with live concerts by acts such as Xavier Rudd, Mogli, or Dave Stringer – one of the most renowned yoga festivals in Europe.

Yoga and Music in the King's Corner

Om am See is one of Central Europe's most renowned yoga and music festivals. The venue is the Festspielhaus Neuschwanstein in Füssen, located directly on the Forggensee – one of Bavaria's largest reservoirs – with panoramic views of the Allgäu Alps and Neuschwanstein Castle. Eight indoor and outdoor spaces are spread across the area: a large outdoor stage, several yoga halls, open-air areas by the lake, plus SUP yoga sessions on the Forggensee itself.

International Yoga Scene

Over 40 international yoga teachers shape the festival every year. Regulars include Shiva Rea (California, Tantra Flow), Meghan Currie (Bali, Vinyasa), Dr. Ronald Steiner (German Ashtanga teacher and doctor), and many others. The program ranges from powerful Vinyasa Flows and Ashtanga to silent meditation, Ayurveda, Pranayama, and Sound Journeys, to Aerial Yoga, Acro Yoga, and SUP Yoga.

Musical Line-up in Open-Air Format

Unlike pure yoga festivals, Om am See places equal emphasis on live music. International acts perform on the large open-air stage and in the Festspielhaus, often with a spiritual, world music, or acoustic orientation – Xavier Rudd (Australia), Mogli (Berlin), Dave Stringer (Los Angeles, Kirtan / Mantra), Mose (Guatemala) with Franko Heke (New Zealand), The Hanuman Project (Bali), and similar major artists.

Children's Program and Families

Om am See is explicitly family-friendly. A dedicated children's program with playful yoga, craft workshops, nature exploration, and small concerts runs parallel to the main program. Families can also stay overnight in the camping area by the lake.

Festspielhaus Neuschwanstein – The Setting

The Festspielhaus Neuschwanstein was opened in 2000 for the musical of the same name and has since also hosted concerts, conferences, and festivals. Its location directly on the Forggensee, with sightlines to Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein, gives the festival an atmosphere unique in Europe. Water, mountains, and the fairytale castle backdrop merge with Asana practice and mantra concerts for a holistic experience.

Füssen and the King's Corner

Füssen is Bavaria's southernmost town on the Lech river, framed by the Allgäu Alps and immediately on the Austrian border. The Königswinkel region with Forggensee, Hopfensee, Bannwaldsee, and the two royal castles Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau is considered one of Germany's most scenic areas. Om am See has been deliberately using this backdrop as its stage since its first edition.

Om am See — edition 2026

From July 10 to 12, 2026, Om am See celebrates its 5th edition at the Festspielhaus Neuschwanstein. Three days of international yoga teachers, live concerts on Forggensee, and workshops in eight indoor and outdoor spaces. Headliners include Xavier Rudd (AUS), Mogli (Berlin), Dave Stringer (LA), Mose, and Franko Heke.

The 5th edition of Om am See runs from July 10 to 12, 2026 at the Festspielhaus Neuschwanstein. Over 40 international yoga teachers and several headliner concerts are spread across eight spaces, from the large open-air stage by the lake and the Festspielhaus main stage to yoga halls and SUP yoga sessions on the Forggensee itself.

The festival combines all-day yoga and meditation classes (Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin, Aerial, Acro), breathwork, Ayurveda, and Sound Journeys with evening concerts. Tickets are available as day passes or 3-day passes online.
