1,000+ Classic Cars in the Heart of Ostwestfalen
When Halle (Westfalen) opens its gates for the Oldtimerfreunde Halle/Westfalen e.V. in early June, one of the most packed classic car weekends in the Gütersloh district begins. You'll walk through a gauntlet of gleaming car bodies, hear the rich rumble of a Detroit V8, smell gasoline and old leather interiors — and meet owners in every aisle who will tell you the story of their beloved vehicle with shining eyes.
When and Where: June 5th–7th, 2026 in Hesseln
The Oldtimer-Treffen Hesseln takes place from Friday, June 5th to Sunday, June 7th, 2026 in the Hesseln Business Park — directly at Gewerbestraße 4, in the southern district of Halle (Westf.). Hesseln is easily accessible via the B68 and the A33 (Halle/Borgholzhausen exit). Admission price: €5 per day, children under 12 free. A fair gesture that makes the meet accessible for families.
Three Days, Three Vibes
Friday: Opening Party
Starting at 6 PM, the AC/DC tribute band 'High Voltage' kicks things off with DJ Andi. You'll ease into the weekend: first beer, first encounters with car clubs from all over OWL, and the place slowly fills with the first exhibits.
Saturday: Main Event and Live Music
Saturday from 10 AM to 11:30 PM features the full program. Several bands will perform on stage — rock, pop, and party acts will alternate, ensuring the good vibes last all day. Meanwhile, the rows fill up with hundreds of classic cars.
Sunday: Family Day and Awards Ceremony
Sunday from 10 AM to 6:30 PM is family day. A special highlight: the awards ceremony at 4:30 PM. The most beautiful and noteworthy vehicles in various categories will be honored — from pre-war cars to 80s youngtimers.
What You'll Experience
- 1,000+ Classic Cars of all makes and eras
- The historic 'Feldmann-Raupe' — a legendary fairground vehicle from the region
- Live music on the main stage throughout the three days
- Food stalls with Westphalian specialties, bratwurst, fries, and cold drinks
- Family activities and children's program
- Stalls selling spare parts, model cars, and memorabilia
Halle (Westf.) and the Gütersloh District
Halle is located in the Gütersloh district, in the Teutoburg Forest, about 25 kilometers west of Bielefeld. The town is primarily known as the home of the Gerry Weber Open (now OWL Challenger) and for its picturesque old town. Hesseln is a southern district with a commercial character — ideal for a large open-air event. With its third meet in 2026, Hesseln is firmly establishing itself as an Ostwestfalen classic car hotspot.
Who is the Meet For?
For everyone. Mechanics share experiences, families marvel, photo enthusiasts gather motifs for an entire year — and anyone simply looking for sun, music, and a few classic cars by the roadside will feel right at home. Exactly the mix that makes classic car meets one of the most beautiful summer weekends in the Teutoburg Forest.
