Two-day motorsport festival on the private Bilster Berg race track in the Höxter district – GLP track days, reliability rally, and classic car paddock
The Oldtimer Festival Bilster Berg will take place for the second time in 2026 – following a premiere edition in 2025 with around 550 spectators and 450 active drivers. The venue is one of Europe's most remarkable private race tracks: the Bilster Berg Drive Resort near Bad Driburg, a 4.2 km long, 19-corner natural test track with up to 70 meters of elevation change and a maximum gradient of 26%. The track was designed by Hermann Tilke (designer of several Formula 1 circuits) in collaboration with Hans-Joachim Stuck and opened in 2013.
The festival runs on Saturday, May 30th, and Sunday, May 31st, 2026:
The sporting core consists of two formats:
A small classic car exhibition will be set up in the Paddock: Classics, youngtimers, and modern sports cars will be presented in VIP exhibition areas. You can move through the pit lane, talk to car owners, and get a glimpse of the preparation for the sessions. Catering stations and snack bars will provide refreshments.
A portion of the proceeds goes to the Schule im Teutoburger Wald, a special needs school in the Bad Driburg region. The festival is therefore not only a motorsport event but also a social project in the Höxter district.
The Bilster Berg Drive Resort track is located about 60 km east of Paderborn, at the transition between the Eggegebirge and Teutoburger Wald. It is not publicly accessible and is used exclusively for track days, automotive manufacturer tests, training, and events. Nicknames like "rollercoaster" or "little Nürburgring" are due to its extreme topography and technically demanding layout.
Following the successful premiere in 2025 (around 550 spectators, 450 active drivers), the organizers are launching an expanded program in 2026. On the 4.2 km private race track Bilster Berg, classic cars ranging from pre-war models to youngtimers from the early 2000s will compete. In the GLP sessions, consistency is judged, not pure speed.
