Schlager festival on the Rhine — Fäaschtbänkler, Oimara, Druckluft and Cat Ballou at Kunst!Rasen Bonn
On Saturday, August 29, 2026, the Oh wie schön Festival transforms the Kunst!Rasen in Bonn into an open-air party stage from 2 PM to 10 PM. Four acts will deliver a mix of après-ski, folk music, and Kölsch rock — Alpine folk meets the spirit of the Rhine Carnival. The organizers describe the event as the "ultimate summer party" with live music, dancing, and a festival atmosphere.
The combination of Alpine and Kölsch energy makes the festival unique — what works during Carnival also works in midsummer.
The Kunst!Rasen in Bonn's Rheinaue park is one of the most beautiful open-air stages on the Rhine — right by the water, with views of the river and the Siebengebirge mountains. Kunst!Rasen annually presents a program of classics, indie acts, Schlager, and comedy. With space for several thousand spectators, the arena is both manageable and intimate.
Bonn is a city in the southern part of North Rhine-Westphalia with around 330,000 inhabitants. It is the birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven, the former capital of the Federal Republic of Germany (1949–1990), and today a UN city and seat of many federal institutions. The Rheinaue is Bonn's large recreational area — 160 hectares of parkland, a lake, playgrounds, and Kunst!Rasen as an open-air stage.
Tickets are available from €52.40 via tickets.kunstrasen-bonn.de. Travel by public transport is recommended: take the Stadtbahn (light rail) to Heussallee/Museumsmeile station, then a 10-minute walk into the Rheinaue. From the main train station: take U16, U63, or U66.
The 2026 edition brings together four top acts from the German-speaking Schlager and party music scene. Fäaschtbänkler and Oimara deliver Alpine folk-pop, Druckluft provides marquee atmosphere, and Cat Ballou brings the Cologne Carnival energy. The open-air setting on the Rhine combines summer vibes and a festival feel.
Exact set times will be published in the weeks leading up to the festival on kunstrasen-bonn.de.
