Culture festival in Fernweh-Park with concerts, readings, and photo exhibition
The Oberkotzau Culture Days are organized by the municipality of Oberkotzau and use the internationally known Fernweh-Park with its »Signs of Fame« collection as the central venue. The festival combines concerts, a reading, and a photo exhibition into a multi-day cultural program.
The musical spectrum ranges from classical to rock and pop, and even a rave evening. Primarily regional artists perform in Fernweh-Park, making the festival a varied cultural highlight in the Hof region.
A photo exhibition accompanies the festival in the Oberkotzau town hall. Prominent guests and honors in Fernweh-Park add extra sparkle to the Culture Days, connecting local culture with supra-regional appeal.
Launched just in 2024, the festival has quickly established itself as a regular cultural event. Free admission to all events makes the Culture Days an open festival for the entire region.
The Oberkotzau Culture Days 2026 run from June 18th to 21st. The focus is on concerts, mainly in Fernweh-Park, along with an author reading and a photo exhibition. The musical spectrum ranges from classical to rock and pop, culminating in a rave evening with the Ravers Nature DJ Team on June 19th.
From June 18th to 25th, the Oberkotzau town hall will host the photo exhibition »Menschen der Welt« (People of the World) by photographer Klaus Beer, featuring portraits from India, Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand, Egypt, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa; opening on June 18th at 5 PM. On June 20th, documentary filmmaker Franz Xaver Gernstl will visit Fernweh-Park, be inducted into the »Signs of Fame«, and present his book »Glück gehabt!« (Lucky Me!) at 5 PM in the cultural center.
Throughout the four days, concerts by regional artists will be featured, spanning classical, rock/pop, and electronic music. The detailed program will be published by the municipality of Oberkotzau.
Oberkotzau is located in the Hof district. Oberkotzau train station is accessible via the Hof region. The main venues are Fernweh-Park, as well as the town hall and the cultural center.
