From July 10th to 13th, 2026, Oberasbach will celebrate its largest Kirchweih in the Altort. The heart of the festival is around St. Lorenz Church; stalls and rides line Bachstraße, and a festival tent is located at Spargelhof Peter.

The Kärwa is organized by Kärwaboum Oberasbach e.V. A regular highlight is the city and Kärwa run on Saturday morning, organized by the cultural office. Bringing alcoholic beverages is not permitted according to the city ordinance from 2009.

A special feature: Bringing alcoholic beverages of any kind to the Oberasbach Kirchweihen has been prohibited since a city ordinance in 2009 – a contribution to a family-friendly festival. Thus, the Kärwa remains a traditional, convivial village festival in the Franconian sense.
