House, Tech House and Afro House in the castle gardens of Schloss Neuenbürg — the third edition
Schloss Neuenbürg (Neuenbürg Castle) sits enthroned on a rocky outcrop above the Enz valley, forming a spectacular historical backdrop for a modern electronic festival. The castle complex dates back to the 11th century; the current Renaissance castle from the 16th century serves as a museum and event venue. The large castle gardens surrounding the castle offer expansive terraces, meadows, and views over the deeply cut Enz valley — one of the most atmospheric open-air locations in the Enzkreis district and the northern Black Forest as a whole.
Nothing But Groove is a young festival — the 2026 edition is the third edition, launched in 2024. In just two years, the festival has established itself as one of the most atmospheric electronic open-airs in Baden-Württemberg. Event date: Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Playing time: 9 hours of open air.
The organizers describe the concept as “authentic and affordable”: “No overpriced tickets, no compromises on infrastructure.” A clear anti-statement against the increasing commercialization of the electronic festival scene. Sustainability and regional partnerships are central values — local organizations are fairly compensated for their support, catering comes from the region, and deposit systems and waste separation are a matter of course.
The festival's musical profile is clear: House in its various forms — the classic House sound with a 4/4 beat and soulful vocals, Tech House as a harder, more minimalist variant with techno-influenced elements, and Afro House as the genre that has exploded in recent years with African percussion and vocal elements. Headliner Tomi & Kesh particularly represent this Afro House wave, which has gained immense global momentum since the pandemic.
The town of Neuenbürg, with around 7,500 inhabitants, is located in the Northern Black Forest, about 25 kilometers south of Pforzheim, in the Enz valley. The Enzkreis is a particularly wooded region — mixed forests, hiking trails, low light pollution. The festival's location outside the big cities gives Nothing But Groove a special atmospheric bonus: far from city noise, close to the starry sky.
The third edition of Nothing But Groove sees the festival enter a more mature phase. After well-attended first editions in 2024 and 2025, the concept is established: 9 hours of open air in the castle gardens, curated for the House, Tech House, and Afro House genres, featuring international headliners and an intimate, atmospheric festival community.
2026 Headliners: Chico Rose (NL, House, Chart Hits), Tomi & Kesh (Afro House Duo), and Tony Romera (FR, Tech House). Local DJs from southern Germany will also perform.
The exact set times for each act will be published in the weeks leading up to the festival on nothingbutgroove.de and via the festival's social media channels.
Tickets exclusively online in advance via nothingbutgroove.de. Standard ticket in previous years around €29.99. No box office sales — if the festival sells out, it's gone. Drinks and food on-site are paid for using the prepaid card system — top-up with card or cash at the top-up stations. Remaining credit refundable at the end.
By train: Enztalbahn from Pforzheim, Neuenbürg station — approx. 15 min walk (uphill) from the station to the castle. By car: B294 from Pforzheim or Wildbad to Neuenbürg, follow signs. Limited parking — use of public transport strongly recommended.

Plan to arrive early — the castle garden location is scenically spectacular, and the sunset hour around 9 PM is among the most emotionally intense moments of the festival. Local DJs usually start at 3 PM, international acts typically play from the evening onwards. Those who want to experience the sound quality optimally should find spots at a medium distance from the main stage.
Payment on the festival grounds is via prepaid cards, which are topped up at the top-up stations with cash or card payments. Remaining credit can be refunded at the end.
Accessible grounds, sufficient sanitary facilities, professional medical staff and medical care permanently on site. Awareness concept, no place for discrimination.
