Festival in the Baroque Castle Gardens
The Nothing But Groove Festival is one of the most atmospheric electronic festivals in the northern Black Forest. It is held in the Schlossgarten Kirschgarten of Schloss Neuenbürg (Enzkreis district, state of Baden-Württemberg) – a baroque castle from the 16th/17th century, majestically towering over the town of Neuenbürg and the Enz river. The organizers are Alberti & Günthner Events GbR in collaboration with Förderkreis Kultur im Schloss e.V., a volunteer initiative that maintains and programs Schloss Neuenbürg as a cultural venue.
3rd Edition 2026
The 3rd edition in 2026 will take place on Saturday, August 1st (and partly Sunday, August 2nd). Since its premiere in 2024, the young festival has built a loyal following in the southern German electronic scene and is considered an insider tip for dance fans who prefer a more intimate alternative to the large open-air festivals of the northern Black Forest.
Line-Up 2026
Three international acts form the headliner program:
- Chico Rose — Dutch DJ-Producer (Disco House, Tech House)
- Tomi & Kesh — British-Italian duo (House, Tech House)
- Tony Romera — French House producer with numerous releases
The headliner program is complemented by local and regional DJs from the southern German tech-house scene.
Musical Concept
Unlike generic large festivals, Nothing But Groove clearly positions itself in the spectrum between House, Tech House, Disco House, and Afro House – styles rooted in the dance culture of Chicago, Detroit, and the Iberian Peninsula, which have been thrilling international audiences for years. The festival is not a BPM battle but focuses on groovy dance music with melodic depth.
Schloss Neuenbürg as a Venue
Schloss Neuenbürg was built in the 16th century on the remains of a medieval castle and expanded in the Baroque period with the characteristic castle garden. Today, it houses a museum with exhibitions on regional history and serves as a venue for concerts, theater, and the Nothing But Groove Festival. The Schlossgarten Kirschgarten, with its hedges, meadows, and views of the Enz river and the Black Forest valley, forms the natural open-air dance floor.
Neuenbürg — the Northern Black Forest
The town of Neuenbürg (~7,500 inhabitants) is located in the Enzkreis district on the edge of the northern Black Forest, between Pforzheim (~20 km) and Wildbad. The Enz river meanders through the town, forming a striking valley bend where the castle complex rises. Visitors to the festival can complement their stay with hikes in the Black Forest or a trip to the nearby thermal baths of Bad Wildbad.
