Brandenburg Main and State Stud Neustadt
The Neustädter Weihnachtsgala is the festive Advent show of the Brandenburg Main and State Stud Neustadt (Dosse) – one of Germany's oldest thoroughbred stud farms, founded in 1788 under King Frederick William II. For over 230 years, the stud has been a center for horse breeding in Northern Germany, housing around 250 horses of the English Thoroughbred, Trakehner, and Heavy Warmblood breeds. It is supported by the Stiftung Brandenburgisches Haupt- und Landgestüt (Brandenburg Main and State Stud Foundation).
Graf-von-Lindenau-Halle – The Festive Arena
The venue is the Graf-von-Lindenau-Halle at Havelberger Straße 18a – the central hall of the stud farm, which is transformed into a pre-Christmas arena during Advent: atmospheric lighting, the scent of fir trees, and a Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas market) in the foyers and outdoor areas.

Program: Classical Riding in Fairytale Scenes
The fairytale horse show combines classical horsemanship with scenic Advent narratives:
- Dressage Quadrilles – synchronized riding groups.
- Liberty Dressage – horses without saddle or bridle.
- Vaulting – acrobatics on horseback.
- Carriage Rides – historic horse-drawn carriages.
- Fairytale Scenes – accompanied by Christmas and film music.
- Visit from Santa Claus – especially for the youngest spectators.
Christmas Market Around the Hall
Before and after the performances, the stud grounds transform into a small Advent market. Artisans offer ceramics, candles, felt, and leather goods; culinary delights include mulled wine, children's punch, sausages, and gingerbread. Families can enter the area one hour before the show begins.
Arrival and Shuttle
The organizers offer a free shuttle service from Neustadt (Dosse) station to the hall and back after each performance. This makes traveling by train from Berlin, Hanover, or Hamburg convenient.
Neustädter Weihnachtsgala — edition 2026
The Neustädter Weihnachtsgala 2026 will be presented from December 4th to 6th, 2026, with its fairytale horse show in the Graf-von-Lindenau-Halle of the Brandenburg Main and State Stud Neustadt (Dosse). The organizer is the Stiftung Brandenburgisches Haupt- und Landgestüt.
Three performances will take place over three days: Friday, December 4th, at 5 PM; Saturday, December 5th, at 2 PM; Sunday, December 6th, at 2 PM. The show, lasting approximately two hours, combines classical dressage quadrilles, liberty dressage, vaulting, and carriage rides with Christmas fairytale scenes, accompanied musically by Advent and film music. A highlight for the youngest spectators is the visit from Santa Claus.
