45th edition of the Duisburg district festival at Hohenzollernplatz from September 17 to 21, 2026 — five days of amusement rides, stage program, and fireworks
Neumühl is a district in the north of Duisburg (Hamborn district), originating from the former colliery settlements around the Neumühl shaft. Today, around 16,000 people live there, with Hohenzollernplatz forming the center with shops, restaurants, and clubs. The Revierfest is rooted in the tradition of Ruhr area district festivals, which continue to live on as identity builders after the mining boom. Since 1981, the Aktionsgemeinschaft Neumühler Kaufleute und Vereine (AGNK) has organized the festival independently — 2026 marks the 45th edition.
The 2026 edition runs from Thursday, September 17, to Monday, September 21. The amusement ride alley on Holtener Straße opens daily from 11 AM — from the Ferris wheel to carousels, roller coasters, children's rides, shooting galleries, and classic snack stands, everything is represented. Hohenzollernplatz serves as the stage location for the musical program from Friday to Sunday with local and national cover bands.
On Sunday, September 20, 2026, members of the AGNK will open their shops at Hohenzollernplatz and in the adjacent streets from 1 PM to 6 PM. This combines the classic folk festival experience with a relaxed shopping afternoon — a combination proven over decades, making the Revierfest one of the most visited events in Duisburg North.
Starting at 4 PM on Sunday, the special children's program begins with live music, face painting, and interactive activities around Hohenzollernplatz. Monday is entirely dedicated to "Family Day" — many rides offer reduced prices, and in the evening, the grand music-synchronized fireworks provide one of the most spectacular moments of the Duisburg festival season.
The Aktionsgemeinschaft Neumühler Kaufleute und Vereine (AGNK) has been the organizer of the Revierfest since its inception in 1981. It combines the interests of Neumühl's businesspeople with the district's associations — from marksmen's clubs to sports clubs and cultural initiatives. Proceeds from stand rentals partially fund local projects: playgrounds, club activities, school festivals.
By car via the A 59 (Neumühl exit) or A 42 (Beeckerwerth exit) — parking available on residential streets, scarce during festival times. By public transport: Bus lines 905 and 906 (DVG) stop directly at Hohenzollernplatz, with connections to tram line 903 (Theodor-Heuss-Straße stop) and the Marxloh S-Bahn station or Duisburg main station.
2026 marks the 45th edition of the Neumühler Revierfest — one of the most traditional district festivals in Duisburg North. Five days of program around Hohenzollernplatz, with amusement rides on Holtener Straße and live music on the main stage at the square.
The Aktionsgemeinschaft Neumühler Kaufleute und Vereine (AGNK) has been responsible for the festival independently since 1981 — a remarkable continuity reflected in familiar routines and fixed program points: Sunday opening for shopping, Family Day, fireworks.
