Jazz in the Residenz Neumarkt
The Neumarkter Jazzweekend takes place in the historic Festsaal der Residenz Neumarkt – one of the most beautiful event venues in the Oberpfalz. Over three days, the festival presents a diverse jazz program and simultaneously kicks off the municipal concert series »Klangraum«, which runs from October to April each year.
From Soiree to Matinee
The program ranges from a soiree on Friday evening to a matinee on Sunday morning. The opening often features ensembles playing Gypsy Swing and Bossa Nova; the finale is traditionally a family concert for children, for example with the NUEJAZZ-Combo and programs like »Swingin' Kids«.

Cultural Tradition in the Oberpfalz
The Jazzweekend is supported by the Sing- und Musikschule Neumarkt and has been a cultural highlight in the district of Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz for many years. It combines sophisticated jazz with the special atmosphere of the Residenz and appeals to a broad audience, from jazz connoisseurs to families.
Jazzweekend Neumarkt — edition 2026
The 20th anniversary edition of the Neumarkter Jazzweekend will take place in October 2026 in the Festsaal der Residenz Neumarkt and will mark the start of the Klangraum concert series 2026/2027. From the Friday evening soiree to the concert evenings and the Sunday morning family concert, a diverse and stylistically broad jazz program will be offered. The exact date will be announced in due course by the city of Neumarkt or the Sing- und Musikschule Neumarkt.

Getting There
Festsaal der Residenz Neumarkt, Residenzplatz, 92318 Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz. By car via the A3 (Neumarkt exit) or the A9. Neumarkt (Oberpfalz) train station on the Nuremberg–Regensburg line.
Tickets
Admission for adults €8, concessions and children €5. Tickets available via neumarkt-ticket.de and the Tourist Information office.
Tip
The family concert on Sunday morning is suitable for children aged five and up.
