Marksmen's Tradition in the Altes Land

The Schützenverein Neuenfelde von 1912 e.V. has existed for over 100 years and is one of the central club institutions in Hamburg's southernmost district, Neuenfelde. Neuenfelde lies between the Süderelbe river and the beginning of the Altes Land; the Schützenheim on Arp-Schnitger-Stieg has been the festival venue for the village community for generations.

Family Programme

The Herbstfest is the annual autumn event in the marksmen's club calendar: not a large funfair, but a compact festival day with a shooting programme for the whole family. Adults can practice at the shooting range, while children and young people can try their hand at air rifles or archery. Afterwards, there's a festival atmosphere in the Schützenheim with snacks, drinks, and a cosy village ambiance.

One of Hamburg's Most Traditional Clubs

The Schützenverein Neuenfelde 1912 e.V. demonstrates that Hamburg is not just a port metropolis but also a place of rural tradition. Those who travel from the city centre to Neuenfelde (approx. 30–40 minutes from the main train station) discover a district of Hamburg that, with its thatched-roof courtyards, Süderelbe riverbanks, and apple orchards, has little in common with the Reeperbahn atmosphere.
