Shooting Tradition in the Altes Land
Neuenfelde is located in the southernmost tip of Hamburg, directly on the Süderelbe and at the transition to the Altes Land. The Schützenfest of the Neuenfelde Shooting Association of 1912 e.V. has been a fixture in the village calendar for generations – and it shows that Hamburg is not just a harbor metropolis, but also rural tradition.
Four Days of Shooting Festival Life
From Thursday to Sunday, the club grounds transform into a festival site with a festival tent, stalls, music, and a dance floor. The king's shooting determines who will be the association's majesty for a year. There are also honors, a ladies' queen, a youth king, and the grand festival ceremony with the fife and drum corps.

Pre- and Post-Event Program
Preliminary shooting, ladies' king shooting, and a community church service are celebrated in the run-up. The official Schützenfest then runs from June 11 to 14, 2026; the prize distribution traditionally takes place two weeks later, on June 25, 2026. In the Hamburg-Harburg district, Neuenfelde district, many who were born in the big city but have remained loyal to the village meet on these days – a rare piece of Hamburg identity.
