Pop meets Reformation

Lutherstadt Wittenberg, as the starting point of the Reformation, is a World Heritage site and a pilgrimage destination for history enthusiasts from all over the world. In the summer of 2026, the city will become a pop concert venue for one evening: NENA will play an open-air concert on the Schlosswiese. The organizer is Concertbüro Zahlmann from Berlin — the same organizer who is organizing the German NENA tour 2026.

The Schlosswiese is located directly at Wittenberg Castle with the famous Castle Church, on whose door Martin Luther is said to have nailed his 95 theses in 1517. This makes the concert venue special: those who extend the weekend can combine the open air with a stroll through Lutherstadt, a visit to the Luther House, or an excursion to the Wörlitz Garden Realm.

NENA — 40 Years of Career

With songs like "99 Luftballons", "Leuchtturm", "Irgendwie, irgendwo, irgendwann", "Wunder gescheh'n", or "Nur geträumt", NENA has shaped several generations. She is currently working on new material — the concert in Wittenberg could feature the first songs from the upcoming studio album. The tour follows the successful "WIR GEHÖREN ZUSAMMEN" tour 2025, which led through 15 European countries.

Schlosswiese — The Concert Venue

The Schlosswiese is regularly used for open-air concerts in the summer. Its location between the castle, the Castle Church, and the Elbe makes it one of the most attractive concert venues in the Wittenberg district in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. The meadow can accommodate several thousand standing places.
