NENA with a ten-piece band in the Maierhof of the Don Bosco Monastery Benediktbeuern
The Don Bosco Monastery Benediktbeuern (Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district, Upper Bavaria) is one of the most historically and architecturally impressive monastery complexes in Southern Germany. In the summer of 2026, the Maierhof – the ZUK Maierhof – will become the stage for an extraordinary pop concert: NENA will perform on July 19, 2026, with her live tour "Wir gehören zusammen".
NENA is bringing a ten-piece backing band to Benediktbeuern. According to the organizer, the concert will last over two hours and will feature both the classics from the early 1980s ("99 Luftballons", "Leuchtturm", "Nur geträumt") and the current repertoire of the tour. Concert start at 7:00 PM; the open-air format with the Maierhof as a natural amphitheater promises a particularly intense atmosphere.
The NENA concert is part of an open-air concert series at the Maierhof: On the eve, July 18, 2026, Eisbrecher will perform in the same Maierhof. The two concerts thus extend an now-established series of summer open airs on the monastery grounds, positioning the Don Bosco Monastery as a cultural center of the Pfaffenwinkel/Oberland region.
Benediktbeuern Monastery was founded in 739 as a Benedictine monastery and has belonged to the Salesians of Don Bosco since 1930. It is nationally known for its Baroque church, the Anastasiakapelle, and the ZUK (Center for Environment and Culture). With its open-air concerts, the monastery is reaching a new audience beyond traditional classical concert series.
On July 19, 2026, the Don Bosco Monastery Benediktbeuern opens its Maierhof for an open-air concert with NENA. Concert start at 7:00 PM; the "Wir gehören zusammen" tour brings both the iconic NDW hits from the past and current songs to the stage. On the previous day, July 18, 2026, Eisbrecher will perform in the same Maierhof, forming the second pillar of the summer open airs.
