Spring festival and open shopping Sunday in Nagold's city center with fashion shows and Swabian-international gastronomy
2026
About Nagolder Frühling
Nagolder Frühling — edition 2026
2026 Edition — Spring arrives in the city center
The 2026 edition of Nagolder Frühling follows the proven concept: Saturday as the opening day with market stalls and activities, Sunday as the highlight day with two major open-air fashion shows and an open shopping Sunday. Both days open at 11 a.m. and end at 6 p.m.
The City-Verein Nagold e.V. organizes the festival in close cooperation with local retailers and restaurateurs. The fashion shows take place on a central catwalk in Turmstraße — a covered alternative is prepared in case of bad weather.

Nagolder Frühling — the city awakens from winter
When the first warm sunbeams sweep over the half-timbered houses of Nagold's Old Town, the City-Verein Nagold e.V. invites you to the traditional Nagolder Frühling. From April 11th to 12th, 2026, daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the city center around Turmstraße will transform into a vibrant stage for fashion, music, enjoyment, and encounters — the perfect start to the open-air season in the northern Black Forest.
Two open-air fashion shows
The centerpiece of the festival are the two open-air fashion shows on Sunday at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m.. Nagold's fashion stores will present the latest spring and summer trends on a central catwalk in the city center — from urban streetwear to elegant outfits for special occasions. The fashion shows are free to attend and attract a large audience from the entire Calw district every year.
Open shopping Sunday and city stroll
On Sunday, April 12th, 2026, Nagold's shops will be open — a classic open shopping Sunday. Stroll through a festively decorated city center, browse shop windows, try on new collections, and enjoy coffee and cake or a Swabian sausage specialty at one of the numerous stands along Turmstraße and Marktstraße.
Swabian-international: Gastronomy and live experiences
The culinary offerings range from Swabian Maultaschen to Mediterranean delicacies and street food specialties. An interactive sound installation in Turmstraße invites young and old to participate playfully. Furthermore, the Nagold aid organizations such as the German Red Cross (DRK) and the German Life Saving Association (DLRG) will present themselves with information stands, demonstrations, and hands-on activities for children.
Nagold and the northern Black Forest
The town of Nagold, with around 23,000 inhabitants, is located in the district of Calw in Baden-Württemberg, at the transition between the heights of the northern Black Forest and the Heckengäu. The historic old town with its striking Hohennagold castle ruins, characteristic half-timbered houses, and lively shopping mile makes the spring market a special experience — the medieval alleys ideally frame the modern festive activities.
