Scharmützelsee — Brandenburg's Riviera

The Scharmützelsee is located about 70 km southeast of Berlin in the Oder-Spree district and, at 12 km long, is one of Brandenburg's largest lakes. Due to its size, clear water quality, and wooded shores, it is occasionally called the "Märkisches Meer" (March Sea). Bad Saarow on the west bank is a well-known spa town, but the east bank also has its cultural venues — above all, the Alte Schulscheune Diensdorf-Radlow.

Alte Schulscheune Diensdorf-Radlow

The Alte Schulscheune is a historic barn building on the eastern shore of the lake, used as a venue for concerts, art exhibitions, readings, children's theater, and craft markets. Its location directly on the lake and the typical barn acoustics make it an unusual concert space. In summer, the outdoor area is also used — hence the title "Musiksommer am Ostufer" (Summer of Music on the East Bank).

May 29, 2026 — THE CHAIN (Fleetwood Mac)

Fleetwood Mac tribute in an XXL version with two additional backing vocalists. A 2.5-hour program featuring "Dreams," "Rhiannon," and all the classics.

June 27, 2026 — The Legacy of Black Sabbath

Black Sabbath tribute with "Paranoid," "Iron Man," and powerful riffs. Energetic stage presence in the spirit of Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi.

July 11, 2026 — Clapton Experience

A nearly three-hour retrospective of Eric Clapton — from Cream and Derek and the Dominos to solo masterpieces like "Layla" and "Tears in Heaven."

August 1, 2026 — Achtung Baby (U2 Tribute)

U2 tribute with multimedia support. "Beautiful Day," "One," "With Or Without You" — the Irish band's great anthems recreated live.

August 29, 2026 — George & The Midnight Special (CCR)

Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute to round off the summer. "Nothing but songs" from the CCR catalog — pure swamp rock by the lake.

A Festival in the Format of a Concert Series

The Musiksommer am Ostufer is not a classic weekend festival, but a concert series spread over three months. Those who attend all five dates will experience a cross-section of rock history — from Fleetwood Mac to CCR, from Black Sabbath to U2. The Alte Schulscheune complements the concert evenings with art exhibitions, author readings, children's theater, and craft markets — the series is part of a broader summer program.
