Siegburg City Festival & 22nd International Children's and Youth Festival

City Festival in the Historic District Capital

The Siegburg City Festival is the grand city center celebration of the district capital in the Rhein-Sieg district. From August 28 to 30, 2026, the three-day festival will occupy several central squares and streets — Marktplatz, S-Carré, and the Kaiserstraße party area will become a connected festival zone. In parallel, the 22nd International Children's, Youth, Culture, and Sports Festival celebrates World Children's Day, serving families and young visitors with its own dedicated program focus.

The Three Stages — Three Atmospheres

The festival features a clear spatial division:

• Marktplatz — the historic main square with the traditional city festival main stage
• S-Carré — a more modern square with its own live concert stage
• Kaiserstraße Party Area — DJ and dance atmosphere, primarily targeting a younger audience

This three-part division allows for parallel programming: while the Marktplatz hosts family programs or classical concerts, the S-Carré can feature rock bands, and the Kaiserstraße Party Area can offer DJ sets.

Opening Hours — Festival Grounds

The festival grounds have different opening and stage times each day:

• Friday: Festival grounds 4:00 PM–2:00 AM / Stages 6:00 PM–12:00 AM
• Saturday: Festival grounds 11:00 AM–2:00 AM / Stages 1:00 PM–12:00 AM
• Sunday: Festival grounds 11:00 AM–9:00 PM (Party Area until 10:30 PM) / Stages 11:00 AM–8:00 PM (Party Area until 10:15 PM)

22nd International Children's and Youth Festival

Running concurrently with the City Festival is the 22nd International Children's, Youth, Culture, and Sports Festival for World Children's Day. It is aimed at children and young people from Siegburg schools and youth groups — free of charge, with a stage, hands-on activities, and sports demonstrations. This dual event is a Siegburg specialty: where many city festivals treat family programs as mere add-ons, Siegburg has a dedicated format with its own distinct identity.

Siegburg — District Capital Between Cologne and Bonn

With approximately 42,000 inhabitants, Siegburg is the district capital of the Rhein-Sieg district. The city is conveniently located between Cologne, Bonn, and the Bergisches Land region and is connected to the high-speed rail network via the Siegburg/Bonn ICE station. The City Festival is the most important summer event in Siegburg's event calendar.
