Mill Day at Mühlenberg
The Mühlenfest Schollene 2026 is a double celebration. On Mill Day (German Mill Day, Whit Monday), the Schollene post mill opens its doors to visitors – with tours, demonstrations, and a program around Mühlenberg. At the same time, the Heimatverein Schollene is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026 – both dates fall on May 25th and will be celebrated together.
The post mill is a technical monument that the Heimatverein has maintained for over three decades. On this festive day, the mill technology will be demonstrated, its history and function explained, along with a program on the festival grounds featuring the fire brigade band of the Elbe-Havel-Land administrative district, a cake buffet, a children's program, and a club celebration with honors.
Schollene is located in the Stendal district, in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, on the edge of the Elbe-Havel-Land – a quiet, water-rich lowland landscape between Stendal, Havelberg, and Brandenburg. Those visiting the region in early summer anyway can easily combine the Mühlenfest with a visit to Havelberg (Cathedral!) or Tangermünde.
