Electronic music festival with workshops, action sports and art in the Stadtpark
Norderstedt, with almost 80,000 inhabitants, is one of Schleswig-Holstein's largest cities, located directly north of the Hamburg city limits in the Segeberg district. The Stadtpark Norderstedt — created for the 2011 State Garden Show — is one of Northern Germany's largest urban green spaces with its 80 hectares and hosts numerous open-air events. The neighboring Kulturwerk am See is the city's central cultural institution.
Impuls is deliberately designed to be genre-spanning — music meets art, skate meets workshop, fashion meets tattoo:
The festival explicitly positions itself as "by young people for young people". Local DJs, artists, skaters, and fashion designers have a stage here, which is rare in this form in Norderstedt. The concept aims for inclusion: financial support for visitors who cannot afford tickets is available via the contact page.
The day-night structure is characteristic: free admission during the day with workshops, skating, second-hand market, and tattoo studios — the Stadtpark becomes an open experience area. In the evening, the festival switches to a paid format and electronic DJ sets become the main attraction.
Norderstedt is excellently connected to Hamburg via the Hamburg U-Bahn line U1 (terminus Norderstedt Mitte) — a unique feature among Schleswig-Holstein cities. The festival is therefore easily accessible for visitors from Hamburg as well.
On July 25, 2026, the Stadtpark Norderstedt will transform into a multi-faceted festival area for one day. From 2 PM to 10 PM, the festival opens its doors for free — the Stadtpark becomes a stage for skating, art, workshops, and a second-hand fashion market.
From 10 PM onwards, electronic DJ sets will kick off at the Kulturwerk am See and on the main stage — Techno, House, Trance. Admission for the night phase: €12 (Early Bird) or €19 (Festival Pass with day validity).
