Dark Rock at a Magdeburg Fortress Complex
The Festung Mark in Magdeburg is one of the most atmospheric open-air stages in Saxony-Anhalt: a former Prussian fortress from the 19th century, now a cultural center with a festival meadow, ramparts, and industrial monument charm. In the state capital (independent city of Magdeburg), just a few steps from the Elbe Cycle Route, the Festung Mark is the venue for numerous summer concerts. On August 15, 2026, a must-see date for the German dark rock scene will take place there: MONO INC. on their big 2026 open-air tour.
MONO INC. — The Hamburg Constant
For almost 20 years, MONO INC. has been building a unique blend of gothic rock, metal riffs, opulent string arrangements, and German lyrics. The 2026 tour is the largest in their career — nine open-air cities, a best-of program, and the latest album "Darkness". The band plans a break from rock tours in 2027; this makes 2026 a rare opportunity to see the band live in full force.
Special Guests
At the Magdeburg date, the Greek-German singer Sotiria (solo artist, MONO INC. backing vocalist for years) and the synthwave rock formation Alienare will perform as special guests. Both tonally fit perfectly into the MONO INC. universe: epic melodies, dark lyrics, driving beats.

Getting There
From Magdeburg Central Station (Hbf), take tram line 5 or 8 to the "Universität" stop, or walk for 15 minutes. By car: A2 exit Magdeburg-Zentrum. Parking around the Festung Mark is limited — public transport is recommended.
