Culture Series in the Heart of the Market

Since its introduction, the »VEREINt Kultur leben« series has established itself as a permanent fixture in the event calendar of the market town of Stadtlauringen in the Lower Franconian district of Schweinfurt. On several summer Fridays, the community's historic market square ensemble becomes a meeting point: live music, food, and drinks from local clubs, and an intergenerational audience characterize the evenings.

Club Community as the Foundation

The numerous clubs from Stadtlauringen and its districts are the organizers of the event. Sports clubs such as TSV Stadtlauringen 1862 e.V. take turns catering, while music ensembles from the market town and the surrounding area provide the musical program. The event name deliberately plays on the word »VEREIN« (club/association): the citizens' association organizes the series, and at the same time, »Vereinte« (united) stands for the communal experience of culture.

Market Square Ensemble as a Backdrop

The market square ensemble, with its town hall, fountain, and half-timbered buildings, forms an atmospheric backdrop. Between 5 PM and 10 PM, the square becomes the community's living room – a format that highlights Stadtlauringen as a cultural center in the north of the Schweinfurt district and visibly celebrates civic life in Lower Franconia.

Format and Atmosphere

  • Open-air event on summer Fridays, starting at 5 PM each day
  • Rotating catering by local clubs
  • Live music from regional ensembles, choirs, and bands
  • Free admission – family-friendly format
  • Historic market square ensemble as a backdrop

The state of Bavaria and the district of Schweinfurt are characterized by a particularly active club landscape. Stadtlauringen, a market town with around 4,000 inhabitants in the Haßberge region, embodies this tradition: club festivals and cultural series like »VEREINt Kultur leben« shape the summer life of the community and the Mainfranken region.

VEREINt Kultur leben — edition 2026

Local clubs will cater to guests, and music ensembles and bands from the region will create a summer atmosphere in the market square ensemble. Admission is free.
