“The grilling for the open-air season” — fourth edition of the Metal Festival by Metal Society Weserbergland
The Meet 'Em All Festival is the annual event of the Metal Society Weserbergland — a local metal initiative in rural Lippe and Weserbergland. The fourth edition, Vol. 4, takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Kalletal-Langenholzhausen, at Am Lehmstich 9. The concept: a clear, uncompromisingly curated metal and rock festival with bands from the immediate vicinity — Weserbergland, Porta Westfalica, Minden-Lübbecke, OWL, and Bergisches Land. The organizers themselves describe the format as “the grilling for the open-air season”: season start, meeting point for the local scene, reunion after winter.
Headliner level in a manageable festival format: Obscurity plays Viking Death Metal with elaborate stage shows, mystical lyrics about Scandinavian mythology, and brutal live energy. One of the most established bands in the German Pagan Death Metal spectrum.
Belialed from Porta Westfalica brings traditional-style Black Metal — raw riffs, screaming vocals, dark atmosphere. An important voice of the East Westphalian underground scene.
Klabuster Berries are the funmakers of the festival: a cover band for rock and metal classics from the entire OWL region. Ideal for the older regular audience who appreciates singalong classics.
Slave To Misery from Porta Westfalica plays classic metal with modern elements — another local voice from the Metal Society environment.
With Fjordvind from Minden-Lübbecke, a completely different sound comes into the program: Medieval Folk Rock with hurdy-gurdy, bagpipes, and acoustic elements — the ideal opening or mid-day break in the festival program.
The address Am Lehmstich 9, 32689 Kalletal-Langenholzhausen refers to a rural event site in the Lippe hill country. Kalletal is a rural municipality with scattered districts — Langenholzhausen is one of them. Open-air stage, food trucks, drink stands, simple camping or parking area. The format is deliberately small and personal — not Wacken, but a local metal scene gathering.
The Metal Society Weserbergland is a volunteer-organized initiative that has been organizing metal events in the rural region since 2023. The concept: bringing the local metal scene together, giving newcomers a stage, honoring established regional acts, and creating a home for metal fans in Weserbergland who would otherwise have to travel to Wacken, Hanover, or Cologne.
The date at the end of April is deliberately chosen: “the grilling” marks the start of the open-air season after the long winter. Metal fans in Weserbergland come to Meet 'Em All and begin the 2026 festival summer. Those who are up for 2027 can check out bands here and gain initial experience for the larger festivals of the season.
