The biggest Mallorca party in the Bergisches Land – 19 stars of the Ballermann and Schlager scene on the Schützenplatz Remscheid
Who doesn't know them: Bierkönig, Mega Park, and the Megapark stage in Mallorca, the thumping of bucket drinks in Palma. What thousands of Germans experience on vacation every year, the Mallorca Festival XXL brings to a German city once a year – without the island, but with the complete cosmos: acts from Mallorca hotspots, foam cannons, a white outfit requirement, bucket bars, and an audience that's in party mode from the start.
Remscheid has been one of the largest German editions for years. The Schützenplatz – the traditional festival grounds of the major Bergisches industrial city – becomes an open-air area with a main stage, several bars, and a VIP area. The organizer is fun.event GmbH, which also manages the edition in Leverkusen's Neuland Park concurrently.
The party starts at noon and ends late in the evening. In between: non-stop program on the main stage with the biggest names in the German Schlager and Mallorca scene.
The Schützenplatz in Remscheid has been the city's central festival grounds for generations – funfairs, Schützenfest (marksmen's festival), Rose Monday parade assembly. Its central location between the main train station and the city center makes it ideal for large events with public transport connections. In good weather, several thousand visitors can fit on the grounds.
Remscheid is an independent city in the Bergisches Land with around 110,000 inhabitants, located on the eastern edge of the Bergisches triangle (Wuppertal–Solingen–Remscheid). Characterized by the tool and steel industry – Mannesmann, Hülter, Vaillant have their roots here – the city maintains a down-to-earth festival culture: Schützenfeste, Carnival parades, city and district festivals. For several years, the Mallorca Festival XXL has added a particularly loud, young, and mainstream-oriented note to the tradition-conscious festival calendar.
The 2026 edition sets new standards in scale with 19 acts. On the main stage, the greats of the Ballermann and party Schlager scene will alternate for eleven hours – from classics like Mickie Krause and Lorenz Büffel, to Mallorca stars Isi Glück and Honk!, to younger acts like Buddy Ogün and Monchi. A VIP package with its own entrance, catering, and free drinks can be booked for an additional charge.
