Bad Malente-Gremsmühlen is a state-recognized spa and health resort in Holstein Switzerland, located on the west bank of the Dieksee lake – Ostholstein district, Schleswig-Holstein state. With around 11,000 inhabitants and a long spa tradition (since 1908), Malente is one of the best-known destinations in the hilly lake landscape between Plön and Eutin. The spa park with its old trees, the Haus des Kurgastes, and the water playground is the green heart of the town.

The Malente Christmas Village utilizes the unusual backdrop of the spa park: rustic wooden huts among old trees that are festively illuminated – a market atmosphere that clearly differs from large city center Christmas markets. Unlike in Eutin or Plön, the atmosphere remains familiar and close to nature. The organizer is the Tourist Info Malente.
