Light Spectacle at Großer Brombachsee
Magische Momente Brombachsee is an evening laser and light festival at the Großer Brombachsee in the Franconian Lake District, one of Bavaria's most popular recreational areas in the Roth and Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen districts. The organizer is the Zweckverband Brombachsee (Brombachsee Association) based in Pleinfeld. The municipality of Absberg, with the Zweiseenplatz Enderndorf, forms one of the central experience points.
Show from the Ship
The centerpiece of the event is an elaborate laser and light show staged from the upper deck of the passenger ship MS Brombachsee. Six large laser systems and a powerful sound system project the show synchronously with the music onto giant fog walls, bathing the lakeside landscape in vibrant colors. Throughout the night, the show moves to several locations around the lake, allowing it to be seen from various experience points.
Music, DJ, and Culinary Delights
Live bands create the atmosphere on four beach sections – including Allmannsdorf, Enderndorf, Absberg, and Ramsberg – while a party DJ performs on the trimaran. Magicians and light artists complete the program. For culinary enjoyment, guests can expect stands with regional specialties and a food truck mile offering modern, high-quality cuisine.
Family-Friendly and Free
Magische Momente Brombachsee is a family-friendly event with no advance ticket sales and no admission fee. Visitors simply come to one of the experience points around the lake. The show begins in the evening, with the main attractions continuing late into the night – an atmospheric summer evening by the water in the heart of the Franconian Lake District.

The 2026 edition of Magische Momente Brombachsee will take place on Friday, August 28, 2026, starting at 6:00 PM at Zweiseenplatz Enderndorf (Am Hafen 13, Spalt) and other experience points around the lake. Six large laser systems and a powerful sound system on the upper deck of the MS Brombachsee form the centerpiece. Throughout the night, the laser show will be repeated at several locations, including Enderndorf, Absberg-Seespitz, and Ramsberg. Live music will be performed on four beaches, a party DJ will spin on the trimaran, alongside culinary stands and a food truck mile. Admission is free, with no advance ticket sales.

Getting There
The Großer Brombachsee is located in the Franconian Lake District between Pleinfeld, Spalt, and Absberg. By car via the A6 (exit Schwabach-Süd) or the B466. By train to Pleinfeld, then bus/shuttle to the experience points. Several parking lots are available around the lake; early arrival is recommended on show evenings.
Admission
Admission is free, and there are no advance ticket sales. Food and drinks are sold on-site.
Tip
The show is repeated throughout the night at several locations (including Enderndorf, Absberg-Seespitz, Ramsberg) – a blanket or folding chair spot on the shore is worthwhile.
