Joint anniversary celebration of two fire brigades in the Spalt region – three days of festival tent and parade
The Volunteer Fire Brigade Mosbach-Tribur and the Volunteer Fire Brigade Kühnhardt-Seiderzell are both turning 125 years old in 2026. Both brigades are located in districts of the town of Spalt in the Roth district (Middle Franconia). Instead of organizing two separate festivals, the brigades are joining forces to host a single large anniversary festival on a shared festival grounds from Friday, July 24th to Sunday, July 26th, 2026.
The festival tent will be open on all three days. Live music will be featured every evening: on Friday, Blasmusik Illenschwang will play; on Saturday, the Bayern 3 Band with DJ Tonic will provide a party atmosphere; on Sunday, the Gräni Gang will play as the festival winds down. Food will be served with Franconian specialties (Schäuferla, Bratwurst, Schweinshaxn) and regional beer.
The highlight of the weekend is the parade on Sunday featuring participating fire brigades from the entire Roth district and friendly brigades from surrounding districts. The assembly will take place in the morning, followed by the parade through the festival area – a classic element of Bavarian fire brigade anniversaries and the largest public manifestation of the event.
Spalt is a small town with around 5,000 inhabitants in the Roth district, known for its hop cultivation and brewery. The town is located in the Franconian Lake District, a holiday region with the Großer Brombachsee and Kleiner Brombachsee lakes. The fire brigade anniversaries fit into a calendar full of community festivals that characterize the region in the summer.
From July 24th to 26th, 2026, the volunteer fire brigades Mosbach-Tribur and Kühnhardt-Seiderzell will celebrate their joint 125th anniversary. A festival tent, live music on all evenings, and a grand parade on Sunday will shape the program. The two brigades will jointly manage catering and the program in the festival area.
