Beer Festival in the Hop Town of Spalt
Spalt, in the district of Roth, is one of Franconia's most traditional hop and beer towns. The Spalt Brewery – the world's oldest community brewery – invites you to its brewery festival every year in its historic buildings. The venues are the Fasswichs, the Vollguthalle, and the brewery courtyard.
Three Days of Festivities
The festival spans three days: Friday begins with a warm-up evening and the beer tapping ceremony by the reigning Spalt Beer Queen, accompanied by brass music. Saturday offers a festive evening with several music acts on two stages – rock bands and DJ dance parties in the historic Fasswichs.
Family Day and Crowning
Sunday is dedicated to families and local clubs. From 10:30 AM, there will be a traditional Weißwurst breakfast with the Bavarian Weißwurst Queen. In the afternoon, at 3:00 PM, the new Spalt Beer Queen will be crowned – the ceremonial highlight of the festival.
Enjoyment and Sociability
Franconian cuisine from Team Gruber, beer cocktails, covered seating areas, and a children's program with a bouncy castle round off the festival. Admission is free on all three days.
Spalter Brauereifest — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Spalter Brauereifest runs from April 17 to 19, spanning three days in the historic buildings of the Spalt Brewery – Fasswichs, Vollguthalle, and the brewery courtyard.
Friday kicks off with a warm-up evening and beer tapping, Saturday offers a festive evening with rock bands and DJ parties, and Sunday is dedicated to families with a Weißwurst breakfast and the crowning of the new Beer Queen. For the first time, there will be a shuttle service from Georgensgmünd station.

Getting There
Spalt is located in the district of Roth in Middle Franconia. For the first time, there is a free shuttle service from Georgensgmünd train station. Travel by car via the A6 (Roth exit).
Admission
Admission is free on all three days. Food and drinks are subject to a charge.
