A festival format from the village's club life
The Langeln Children's and Village Festival is a firm fixture in the event calendar of the small municipality in the Amt Rantzau. The Social, Sports, and Culture Committee of the municipality of Langeln, supported by local clubs, is the organizer. The festival follows the classic concept of a North German village festival: it is aimed at all age groups, from toddlers to seniors, and combines a children's program, games, food stalls, and social conviviality.
Program at the Community Center
The meeting point and festival grounds are the community center at Dorfstraße 22 – the central hub of village life. In front of the community center, game stations for children, small stages for club presentations, and food stalls are set up on the day of the festival. The Langeln Volunteer Fire Department and the Rifle Club are regularly among the participating clubs, contributing to the program with children's activities, sausage grills, or small competitions.
Langeln in the Amt Rantzau
Langeln is a small municipality in the southern Pinneberg district, about 25 kilometers northwest of Hamburg, and belongs to the Amt Rantzau, based in Barmstedt. The village has a few hundred inhabitants and is typical of the rural Holstein Geest with its thatched and brick houses, meadows, and pastures. The Children's and Village Festival is one of the few major festival formats of the year and fills the otherwise quiet village with atmosphere and encounters once a year.

Village Festival 2026 at the Community Center
On Saturday, August 29, 2026, the municipality of Langeln, together with its clubs, invites you once again to the Children's and Village Festival at the community center. The festival begins at 3:00 PM and is aimed at families, children, and all residents of the village.
As in previous years, the children's program is the focus: game stations, small competitions, and hands-on activities will engage the children at the community center throughout the afternoon. Local clubs – the Volunteer Fire Department, Rifle Club, Sports Club – are usually involved, providing food with grills and drinks, and supporting the festival organization.
