Advent in Landau an der Isar
The Landauer Christkindlmarkt is the pre-Christmas meeting point in Landau a.d.Isar, a town in the Dingolfing-Landau district in Lower Bavaria (Bavaria). For four days, the market takes over the Stadtpark and the Stadthalle, attracting visitors from all over the Isar valley.
Christkindlmarkt in the Stadtpark
In the Stadtpark, around the Stadtpfarrkirche Mariä Himmelfahrt, classic market stalls offer gift ideas, Christmas decorations, and culinary specialties. Mulled wine, punch, and Lower Bavarian delicacies create the Advent atmosphere as darkness falls early and the lights begin to glow.
Arts and Crafts Market in the Stadthalle
Concurrently, artists and craftspeople present their work in the Stadthalle: the range includes Christmas decorations, monastic crafts, jewelry, ceramics, candles, sculptures, and textile art – a treasure trove for unique Christmas gifts.
Program for the Whole Family
The market is opened by the First Mayor; students from the Municipal Music School provide Christmas melodies, and the tower brass players of the Spielmanns- und Fanfarenzug perform. Additionally, there's Christkindlmarkt rock, a visit from the Christkind, and fairy tale readings for children. The organizer is the City of Landau a.d.Isar.
Landauer Christkindlmarkt — edition 2026
The Landauer Christkindlmarkt 2026 is planned, as usual, for early December over four days. In the Stadtpark around the Stadtpfarrkirche Mariä Himmelfahrt, market stalls will offer gift ideas, Christmas decorations, and culinary specialties; artists and craftspeople will present their work in the Stadthalle.
The program includes the opening by the First Mayor, Christmas melodies from the Municipal Music School, performances by the tower brass players of the Spielmanns- und Fanfarenzug, Christkindlmarkt rock, a visit from the Christkind, and fairy tale readings for children. Getting There
Landau a.d.Isar is located in the Dingolfing-Landau district in Lower Bavaria. By train via the Munich–Plattling line (Landau a.d.Isar station), from there a few minutes to the town center. By car via the A92 (Landau a.d.Isar exit).

Usually Thursday to Saturday 4–9 PM, Sunday 3–8 PM. Exact times for 2026 can be found on landau-isar.de.
