Techno meets open-air pool in Bayreuth
The Kreuzer Open Air is a techno open-air event at the Kreuzsteinbad, the traditional open-air swimming pool in the Upper Franconian city of Bayreuth. It is organized by Ahmad Kordbacheh (FABRIK Bayreuth) together with Stadtwerke Bayreuth.
A place with significance
The organizers deliberately chose the swimming pool over the spacious Volksfest grounds to create an intimate, 'romantic' atmosphere. The Kreuzsteinbad is a place where many Bayreuth residents learned to swim — this nostalgic significance is part of the concept.
Headliner Sven Väth
The headliner for the first edition is Sven Väth, one of the most influential figures in electronic music since the 1980s. Known for his consistent use of vinyl, founder of the legendary Frankfurt club Omen and the Cocoon brand, he will play an approximately three-hour DJ set in Bayreuth.
