In 2026, the Festival Orchestra of the Bayreuth Festival will again play twice for free on the Green Hill. The two Festspiel Open Air concerts will take place on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 8:00 PM and Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 5:00 PM in the Festspielpark in front of the Festspielhaus.
There is no need for tickets, admission is free. Parking on the Festspielhügel is free on event days, picnics are expressly permitted, and catering is available on site. The exact musical program will be announced in due course.

Getting There
The Festspielpark is located on the Festspielhügel above the city of Bayreuth (Upper Franconia). Travel by car via the A9 (Bayreuth exit); parking on the Festspielhügel is free on event days. By train to Bayreuth Hbf, then continue by bus or on foot.
Admission
No tickets required, free admission. Picnics are allowed, and catering is available on site.

Classical Music for Everyone on the Green Hill
The Festspiel Open Air brings the music of the Bayreuth Festival to everyone, free of charge. The venue is the Festspielpark in front of the world-famous Festspielhaus on the "Green Hill" in Bayreuth, in the district of Bayreuth and the independent city of Bayreuth in the state of Bavaria – the place where Richard Wagner founded his festival.
The Festival Orchestra Under the Open Sky
Following the successful open-airs of previous years, the Festival Orchestra plays twice every summer on the hill in front of the Festspielhaus. The concerts are a gift to the public: top-class orchestral music in a unique atmosphere, with no admission barrier.
