75 Years of the Höfendorf Music Association — Festival Week 2026

The Musikkapelle Höfendorf e.V. is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2026 — and is using the occasion to host the Zollernalb District Music Festival as well as the Youth Music Days of the Zollernalb District Brass Music Association. From Friday, June 26, to Monday, June 29, 2026, the festival grounds by the playground in Höfendorf (municipality of Rangendingen, Zollernalb district) will become the stage for around 30 music associations and several thousand visitors from the Albvorland region.

Festival Grounds by the Playground in Höfendorf

The festival area extends around the festival grounds by the playground in the Höfendorf district of the municipality of Rangendingen. A large festival tent with a stage and thousands of seats, along with catering stalls and food stands from local associations, forms the heart of the festival. Over 280 volunteers from the entire Höfendorf association network are supporting the music association in its organization.

Four Days of Festivities with a Clear Structure

Friday, June 26, begins with the Old Comrades' Reunion of the Höfendorf Music Association and a festive evening with the renowned party band "Viera Blech" (Bavaria), who will kick off the event with traditional brass music and party hits. Saturday, June 27, is dedicated to youth and the main concert: The Zollernalb Youth Brass Ensemble will showcase young musicians from the district association, while in the evening, the Dirndl-Knacker will take over the festival tent stage with party brass music and Schlager cover versions. Sunday, June 28, features the grand parade with all participating music associations marching through Höfendorf — a highlight for the audience and the local residents. Monday, June 29, marks the end of the festival with the craftsmens' supper starting at noon — a Swabian tradition where craftspeople and volunteers are treated to a hearty Vesper (snack) in the festival tent.

Höfendorf is one of the three districts of the municipality of Rangendingen in the Zollernalb district (state of Baden-Württemberg, district code 08417), located in the Albvorland region between Hechingen and Balingen. With its festival grounds by the playground and a dedicated network of associations — music association, sports clubs, fire department, church communities — Höfendorf is a typical Swabian village with vibrant traditions. The bid to host the 2026 District Music Festival underscores the Höfendorf Music Association's strong presence in the brass music scene of the Zollernalb district.
