Scandinavian-influenced creative and handicraft fair
Behind the KREA-Messe is the Danish organizer TB Markeder ApS from Kolding, which organizes over 30 creative fairs annually with more than 100,000 visitors in Scandinavia and Northern Germany. The largest edition in Copenhagen brings together over 300 exhibitors and 15,000 visitors. Neumünster, in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, is one of the most important locations in the German market — twice a year, you'll find a concentration of creative materials here that is unique in this form in the independent city.
Hall 1 of the Holstenhallen offers around 4,000 square meters for 60 to 100 exhibitors — from Danish wool manufacturers and Scandinavian fabric designers to goldsmiths and ceramic artists, as well as tool specialists and publishers of handicraft books.
Unlike purely sales-focused fairs, the KREA-Messe strongly emphasizes participation. Numerous workshops take place at each edition, where you can try out new techniques, create a souvenir of the day, or simply spend time with other creative visitors. The themes change depending on the season — in May, the focus is typically on summer topics such as fabric painting, macramé, and floral decorations.
The Holstenhallen Neumünster is one of Northern Germany's most important trade fair centers and hosts not only the KREA-Messe but also the HolstenArt art fair, Nordbau, and other major events. The venue is conveniently located on the A7 with its own parking facilities. The district of Neumünster (an independent city) is prominently positioned as a trade fair location within Schleswig-Holstein thanks to the Holstenhallen.
In May 2026, the KREA-Messe traditionally invites you to the spring edition in Holstenhalle 1. Between 60 and 100 exhibitors are expected, presenting and advising on their products. The workshops are spread over both days and cover classic as well as current trends.
The program of the KREA-Messe follows a proven format. The exact list of workshops will be published on krea-messe.de approximately 4 weeks before the fair.
